What is it about?
Our study suggested that there is a negative effect of smoking on the carotid artery hemodynamics, through evaluating 92 participants using Doppler ultrasound.

Why is it important?
Our findings concluded that, regardless of plaque presence and age increase, there was a linear association between the duration of smoking and an increase in carotid peak systolic and end diastolic velocities, these findings may have importance in health promotion awareness.
