What is it about?
Brazil is a candidate for permanent membership of the United Nations Security Council. The Brazilian aspiration dates back to the League of Nations and it was again considered during the creation of the United Nations in 1945. This paper makes a historical comparative analysis to better understand the behavior of Brazilian diplomacy in pursuing this goal.
