What is it about?
This is a case report of a seven-year-old boy who died from autopsy-proven brain haemorrhage due to hypertensive vasculopathy.

Why is it important?
Pediatric hypertension has not been associated with fatality. This case shows that cerebral hypertensive angiopathy may lead to fatal hemorrhage already in a child. With the advent of the epidemic of metabolic syndrome with hypertension in childhood, more cases are to be expected.
