We highlight a rare association of budd-chiari syndrome with celiac disease

Why is it important?
The hypercoagulable states associated with celiac disease could be a trigger for development of hepatic vein thrombosis. Another observation in our report was significant homocysteinemia which could be a risk factor for the development of budd-chiari syndrome.
