What is it about?

Minimally invasive anaortic (aortic no-touch) off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting reduces neurological injury and surgical trauma and may be a good alternative for multi-vessel stenting.

Why is it important?

The LITA plus LRA combination is flexible and provides access to the whole heart for revascularization. It would not be wrong to hope that the increasing number of new robotic platforms today will gradually improve minimally invasive coronary artery bypass surgery. Still, higher costs may slow its development for a while. We hope to avoid median sternotomy and combine anOPCAB with mini-thoracotomy to ensure that MACAB, a stroke-free technique with complete arterial grafts, has sufficient weight in today's surgical repertoire.

Perspectives

We aim to publish the methods used in minimally invasive coronary artery bypass surgery and to ensure that more off-pump and no-touch-to-aorta surgery becomes widespread. #MACAB #MICAB #CABG #minimallyinvasive #offpump #anaortic #coronary #bypass #surgery #micab #heart #cardio #Team #kalp #mini #second #opinion @ilhanmavioglu
