What is it about?

Dementia is highly prevalent in Parkinson disease. Frequently patients and physicians have difficulty describing, identifying and differencing symptoms from apathy and depression in Parkinson Disease Dementia (PDD) patients. The aim of this paper was identify apathy and depression in PDD patients.

This is a big problem because the treatment and prognosis are very different to apathy or depression.

Perspectives

It is necessary a greater knowledge about the non-motor symptoms of Parkinson disease. Neuropsychiatric features in Parkinson disease are so important than motor signals.
