What is it about?
This article examines how disability finds space in preferential trade agreements (PTAs), which are agreements between states where one state unilaterally offers another state trade benefits (such as lower or zero tariffs). We analyse how disability is referenced in 518 PTAs negotiated between 1948 and 2020. Our research identifies five main modes of inclusion of disability.
