Cultural, environmental and practical barriers can undermine both data collection and further analysis. In this case, 'shorter is better' can be the adagio orienting health and mental-health providers, when they need to assess and diagnose children victim of war and extreme violence. CHQ is a complete and exhaustive survey for understanding, in its parent form, the global conditions of the child. We transformed the long survey in a short self-reported Likert scale oriented instrument that quickly can provide strong information for addressing interventions with young victims of war and violence.
