What is it about?
The Equality Act 2010 contains nine Protected Characteristics. However, not all protected characteristics are treated equally. Of the nine, Marriage/Civil Partnership is the least common and used protected protected characteristic. This article explores the characteristic's role and considers how it could usefully be developed.
