Why is it important?

It is important to study this problem because it is one of the commonest causes of in-hospital mortality. Knowing the outcome could trigger a reduction in mortality.

Perspectives

I personally believe as a co-author of this publication, the article offers some overview of the problem in the specified case in the specified hospital in Ethiopia. The hospital is good to represent the problem in Ethiopia because it is the largest service provider so far and was the only central referral hospital until recent times. Writing this article was a great pleasure as it has co-authors with whom I have had long-standing collaborations. This article also leads to rare disease groups contacting me and ultimately to greater involvement in rare disease research.
