Why is it important?
Iliopsoas impingement is a painful condition and is often missed. It usually occurs in young adults involved in sport or dance or activities wherein the hip joint is actively stressed. It can lead to acetabular labral tears and it is therefore, important for hip surgeons to recognize this condition and understand the possible anatomic and clinical variations together with the available treatment options.
