What is it about?

Informal and low-cost residential areas are usually underserved with waste collection and disposal services. This empirical study provides solid evidence of it and how the environmental service provisions can be improved by the local communities with their own financial contribution and appropriate attitude towards environmental quality improvement.

Why is it important?

Informal and underserved communities can still have improved environmental services without financial support from and engagement with the local government authorities.

Perspectives

It's one of the considerable outputs of my PhD study, which has been published in a top-tier journal.
