This is a qualitative stylistic analysis of popular science headlines which managed to generate readers’ engagement. It identifies the main stylistic patterns responsible for making science attractive and relevant. It answers a call for a closer study of textual representations of science made available in the public sphere and may inspire further research on how popular science journalism is consumed.
