Why is it important?
Recent research has stressed the importance of being culturally responsive to youth, but there is little research on what this looks like for program leaders serving youth in out-of-school learning programs. This article provides a case study of one program where the leaders demonstrated their responsiveness to the Latinx youth's culture and the local rural context. The practices identified provide examples of what it means to be culturally responsive in one setting.
