Synthetic cartoon facial expressions of pedagogical agents can help students learn mathematics.

What is it about?

Two versions of PA was used in the study - a facial and a non-facial PA. It was found that students who used the facial version of PA had higher mathematics scores than the students who used the non-facial PA. It was also found that students in the facial group tend to imitate the happy emotions of the PA for every successful computation.
