Why is it important?
What is the main motivation to join any Academic Scholarly Networking Site (e.g. Google Scholar, ResearchGate, Academia.edu and others) ? Libraries' institutional repository role helps researchers improve their research altmetric scores, i.e citation counts, views, downloads of any research publications. This paper also provides suggestions on how the librarian can support faculty member/research scholar to promote their research publications/work.
