What is it about?
This is a response to an article by James Powell, which criticized Cook et al. (2013). The Cook 2013 paper estimated the consensus of anthropogenic global warming in the scientific literature as 97%. Usaing a different methodology and assumptions, Powell estates that the consensus is greater than 99%.

Why is it important?
Communicating the consensus on AGW has been shown to be effective in correcting a deliberately manufactured public misconception that doubt among climate scientists is widespread. However, there is still a very small, but well publicized, minority of scientists that dispute AGW, however incoherently and it is important to both acknowledge and rebut them.
