What is it about?

Cannabinoids are drugs of abuse able to lead to aberrant forms of limbic- emotional-memory. In this research we showed for the first time by the EOR test that preconditioning administration of a CB receptor agonist potentiates the association of a positive emotional experience with a neutral cue. When administered after the reward-conditioning, memory of the same association is weakened.

Why is it important?

Our evidence is fundamental in proving that cannabinoid activation represents a condition that reinforces the encoding and retrieval of subsequent positive emotional experiences, prioritises information in memory according to value attribution and decreases the formation of aversive limbic memory.

Perspectives

I am really glad for this publication that took much t to me and my co-authors. I deeply believed in these results and now I hope that many researchers can enjoy this manuscript!
