What is it about?
This paper reflects on two programmes for male domestic abuse perpetrators. The Integrated Domestic Abuse Programme, which was delivered between 2004 and 2013, and the Building Better Relationships Programme, which has been delivered since 2013. This paper considers the experiences of men attending the programme, and the facilitators delivering them. It also considers some of the wider discussions of perpetrator programmes.

Why is it important?
There have been widespread criticisms of the IDAP programme, and the broader Duluth perpetrator programme on which it was based. This paper argues that many of these criticism obscure the complexities of these programme and risk loosing the learning points gained from their delivery.
