Why is it important?
We tried to combine all techniques of HS in a new one (Ex-HTP), so, we could collect the advantages of all techniques in a single procedure within a reasonable operative time and minimal blood loss. No soft tissue trauma (pharyngeal perforation) or any other major complications (fractured thyroid cartilage) were reported. Ex-HTP might be considered economic as no special devices nor were special instruments needed. In comparison to baseline PSG, Ex-HTP reported a good surgical efficacy rate.
