What is it about?
As a society we are still living in the shadow of Apartheid. Historically, research has been used to further the cause of difference between people based on the colour of their skins and ranking persons based on their ethnicity. Research has the power to change the way we know what we know and what can be known. In this editorial we take a realistic look into the practice of research and how researchers have and should use the social construct of race in their research if deemed absolutely neccessary.
