What is it about?

Britain's religion and belief landscape is probably going through its biggest change since Augustine landed in Kent late in the 7th century. For example, among 18-24 year olds, only 1% identify with the Church of England, the established church, while 70% do not identify with any religion. Around a quarter of the population has a broadly humanist worldview, whether or not they identify with the label. But headline figures mask the complexity of the change.

Why is it important?

An understanding of the changes and the likely future state, is essential to anticipate challenges, and to plan action accordingly.

Perspectives

I am not an academic, but have studied this area for some time. This is a welcome opportunity to share what I hope readers will find is an interesting, and potentially important, analysis.
