Why is it important?

Genetics has revolutionized many fields. Until now, it has left education untouched. However, new developments in behavioral genetics have important implications for teachers, school psychologists, principals, and other decision makers. Children and staff will be better served if decision makers embrace the new genetic tools and use them in a justifiable manner.

Perspectives

This was a fun piece to write, mostly because this piece gave me the chance to tell a new audience about how AMAZING the developments in behavioral genetics have been. Plus, the language is less technical than what I usually write. I hope that school district personnel take the genetic revolution seriously and use genetic data to improve the education of children from all backgrounds.
