What is it about?
Students in a gifted middle magnet school were regularly given achievement tests designed for students who were two years older. Results showed that above-level test scores can be used for measuring academic growth in gifted kids.

Why is it important?
This article strengthens the evidence in favor of above-level testing. It also opens up the possibility of using above-level tests for accountability purposes for gifted children.
Perspectives
This was part of my dissertation, and it was later named the best article of the year in Gifted Child Quarterly.
