What is it about?

Malaysia has efficiently used the soft power approach through gastronomy in the context of tourism and maximally received benefits from it without the use of coercive powers.

Why is it important?

Important to understand the concept of soft power and its relationship with tourism. The country could be empowered through traditional culture and heritage as tourism products like Malaysia does it through gastronomy as soft powers tools in influencing the audiences at local and international level.

Perspectives

Writing this article was a great pleasure which I love traditional culture and heritage. By contextualising it with tourism and power sounds more academic and useful to share with others. It will also invite collaborations to study and publish on culture, heritage and tourism.
