What is it about?
We review the available evidence on palliative care for chronic lung diseases in low and middle income countries. We specifically address the importance of palliative care in the treatment of chronic lung diseases patients, the significant gaps and barriers in low and middle income countries, the current status and the potential solutions.

It is the first review dedicated to palliative care for chronic lung diseases in LMIC's , it doesn't only synthetize the available evidence but suggests potential solutions. It also tackles COPD and ILD in addition to lung cancer
Perspectives

In the absence of specialized services, our role as pulmonologists and primary care physicians is essential . It is our duty to get training and train others , advocate on behalf of our patients and lobby for governmental and societal support
