What is it about?

We have used text messages to mobile phones to improve the physical, social and mental health of a group of women who have suffered gender-based violence. We have sent messages to advise, accompany, guide and improve your well-being for 28 days and measure changes in your mood and personal health

Why is it important?

We have verified that women victims of gender-based violence respond positively to text messages and at the end of the sending period they show significant improvements in their mood and personal health.

Perspectives

It is an article product of an investigation. It has been very comforting to be able to help these women and learn about the consequences of gender violence on their lives. I believe that mobile phones are tools that allow access to health and social services to vulnerable people who could not access due to social stigma, poverty or geographic isolation.
