What is it about?
Emerging adulthood is a new concept in psychology. Its proponents say that it is based on biological and psychological features that are unique to the stage. I argue that it is a result of early adulthood situated in a post-industrial society with few opportunities to find steady employment and a stable life. In addition I make the argument that it infantilizes youth and prevents them from having political agency.
