What is it about?
The concept of Biological Nurturing enables mother-infant dyads to learn breastfeeding instinctively right from the start. Baby makes use of innate behavior and primitive neonatal reflexes for feeding. Mothers responds intuitively, facilitating breastfeeding for baby. Biological Nurturing as a natural approach allows unrestricted and laid-back breastfeeding.

Why is it important?
Biological Nurturing as a natural approach to breastfeeding, may foster feeding autonomy of the mother-baby dyad right from the start. This natural approach brings nature to the fore, instead of following rules and timelines for feeding baby. Infants may benefit from early feeding autonomy by improved development and cognitive skills, while mothers may experience more comfort and enjoyment while breastfeeding.
