What is it about?

When it comes to university sexual assault policies and services, students express sometimes conflicting concerns about disclosure and privacy, justice, and protection. Students' diverse concerns are often shaped by their genders and cultures. We provide recommendations that can help support students as they decide whether to seek support following sexual violence.

Why is it important?

Campus communities are increasingly diverse, including students from many different cultures and countries around the world. Sexual violence is a sensitive topic that is viewed and responded to in different ways by different cultures. It is important for sexual violence service providers and policymakers within post-secondary institutions to understand the sexual violence-related perspectives and concerns of students from diverse backgrounds.
