What is it about?
There are many different named psychotherapies. The authors divide these into two types, focusing respectively on emotion (affect) or on having patients face feared thoughts or situations (exposure). Research evidence exists to support the effectiveness of both kinds of therapy, but each may have advantages and disadvantages.
