What is it about?
Unemployment is a critical barrier for those leaving prison. This study test the ability of a Distance Learning and Education online system, COMPASS, focused on vocational rehabilitation for formerly incarcerated veterans with mental illness and/or substance use disorders. We found the COMPASS system was superior to basic vocational materials. Based on the findings, DLEs can provide effective vocational services to vulnerable individuals.
