What is it about?
Discharge from hospital is a time when accurate and timely information is critical. Traditional discharge summaries are targeted to primary care providers and written for a medical audience. The Patient Oriented Discharge Summary (PODS) is a tool that provides information directly to the patient and allows them to be active participants in their treatment and recovery.
