What is it about?

This paper highlights current limitations of the services provided to inpatients experiencing psychosis and argues in favor of improving these services. Concrete strategies for improving services are presented, including training inpatient staff on multiple generally useful therapies.

Why is it important?

By raising awareness of the deficit(s) in inpatient services currently provided and presenting strategies for addressing these deficits, this paper can help improve the services provided to patients often experiencing a high acuity of symptoms.

Perspectives

Given my experience working in inpatient settings, I hope this paper can shine the light on an issue that is really important to me, and offers solutions for those interested in doing something about it.
