What is it about?

After a brain injury occurs, depression, anxiety, and headache symptoms can persist. Yet, traditional treatment approaches address each symptom separately. We identified a single location in the brain that, when targeted with a non-invasive brain stimulation technique, can reduce all these symptoms.

Why is it important?

Our findings show that it is possible to (1) identify a single brain region that can be used to treat the variety of symptoms that occur after brain injury and (2) successfully treat patients' symptoms by targeting that brain region.
