What is it about?

Polyaniline was synthesized in nanotubular shape. Lots of nano-tubelike carbons were prepared by carbonization of the polyaniline at 800 ℃. The nano-tubelike carbons prepared at 800℃ are poor crystalline. However, the degree of crystallinity and the electrical conductity are enhanced with increasing heat-treatment temperature.

Nano-tubler-like carbons are able to be produced in mass-production .

Perspectives

Carbonization in solid state of organic polymers may be appropriate for mass-production of nano-carbons having particular shape such as nanotubes.
