What is it about?
Present work deals with a simplistic surfactant-assisted aqueous solution growth synthesis of ZnO Nanostructures, where Zinc nitrate solution is used as a precursor and hexamine (HMT), tetraethylammonium bromide (TEAB), cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB), and tetra octyl ammonium bromide (TOAB) are used as surfactants.

Why is it important?
Nano and micro structure’s semiconductor metal oxides have drawn much attention during the last few years due to their optical and transport properties, and the consequent potential for many optoelectronic applications. Among them, zinc oxide (ZnO) forms versatile materials used in different fields for applications such as solar cells, optical waveguides, and gas sensors. Chemical and structural properties of ZnO particles are very important in these applications;
