What is it about?

Noncoding RNAs are important regulatory genetic material that control protein production in biological system. We have shown how noncoding RNAs play a role in pathogensis and outcome of sarcoidosis.

Why is it important?

There is little knowledge on the pathogensis of sarcoidosis. Our paper has shed light on some novel molecular mechanisms of the disease and potential markers for diagnosis and treatment of sarcoidosis.

Perspectives

I think this is a start point for me and many other researchers around the world to think that noncoding RNAs are important factors in development and progress of many diseases including sarcoidosis. I think this article is thought-provoking and help others to initiate studies on association of these new biomarkers and sarcoidosis.
