What is it about?

Since its discovery some 100 years back, quite a lot has taken place in understanding the aetiology as well as some mechanisms relating to the disease. Thus, we delved into the past so as to be able to understand the present, whilst paving way for the future of the disease in terms of therapeutics currently being canvassed.
