Disconnect between Fibrotic Response and Right Ventricular Dysfunction

What is it about?

Scaring of the right side of the heart is present and accompanying several lung diseases. It was though that excessive scaring contributes to worsening heart function. However, our study shows that despite effective therapies which prevented or diminished scaring in the mouse model, the right heart function was not improved.
