What is it about?
Understanding biologic differences among children with significant lung diseases is an important way to learn about patients and improve care. In this study, we show that children with Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome demonstrate two different profiles of proteins in the matrix metalloproteinase family, and this information can predict mortality risk later on.
