What is it about?

Ambulatory oxygen helps acute exercise performance in people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). However, this improvement may not help in terms of symptomatic benefit for patients during everyday activities. This study looks at a series of individual randomized controlled trials in order to measure the effect of oxygen in patients with COPD. Particularly in patients who do not meet the criteria for mortality reduction with long-term oxygen therapy.

Why is it important?
