What is it about?
I tell the story of the last three years of my journey as a doctoral student. The years consisted of deep personal crisis and a global pandemic as well as friendships and feelings of togetherness blossoming, through grief, loss, fear, and hope. My story involves finding an academic place and a community necessary to finish doctoral studies and carrying the feeling of my doctoral group community being the only people that could understand what I was going through.

Why is it important?
Since doctoral studies can be a lonely and isolating task, community and togetherness, where doctoral students can support each other, is of importance.
Perspectives
This is a very personal text on being a single parent, an activist and a politician while at the same time being a doctoral student and managing personal and global crises.
