What is it about?
The paper analyzes the roles of science, cities, and regulation in successfully shaping sustainable cities. The analysis makes clear that laws, norms and standards have to be updated in accordance with new scientific findings in order to allow cities and their administrations to use these new scientific findings for shaping sustainable cities.
