What is it about?
Stuart Walker's book on design and spirituality challenges readers to notice the increasing hollowness of 21st century secular Western societies. The narrow focus on consumption of material goods doesn't result in human happiness and is destroying our planet. In this accessible and fascinating book Walker proposes instead that design, production and consumption can all be guided by values of goodness, beauty and human flourishing. This can be achieved, he proposes, by drawing on a common spiritual wisdom which underlies all religions and spiritualities.
