What is it about?
The study examines how religious people would want their religious Scripture respond to their daily needs in politics, community, education, and family life. The art of receiving messages or oracular instructions/directions through a priest/prophet to navigate out of problem can be found in many world religions. Africans are familiar with oracular messages from their ancestors and deities prior to the coming of Christianity. Hence, they expect Christian prophets to minister to them similar to the work of diviners and seers in African Traditional Religions. Because prophetism is not alien in biblical traditions.
