What is it about?
To many Reformed and evangelical Christians, the core of their faith is that Christ died for their sins. This is so obvious that they hardly wonder whether another focus is possible as well. Yet such another focus is presented by Protestants who _x000D_ adhere to the theology of ”Christ the Victor” over evil, which is claimed to be the dominant early Christian view. This paper investigates the various approaches of Christ's death and resurrection in the 2nd to 5th c. AD, which is illuminating for those who only have vague ideas about this period.
