Detection and identification of Devibursaphelenchus minor sp. n. isolated in the bark from the USA

What is it about?

A Devibursaphelenchus population detected from bark in an empty container from the USA in Ningbo port, China, is identified as Devibursaphelenchus minor sp. n. based on morphological and molecular methods. The new species differs from all other species is this genus by extremely short body length of females and males. Molecular phylogenetic analyses based upon rDNA D2-D3 sequences confirmed it as a new species.
