What is it about?
The Introduction offers a survey of how Theological Anthropology has emerged as a central theological theme. It shows how rich and old tradition it can draw on, and traces previous authors who contributed to this revival in our century. The text also introduces necessary methodological changes to make theological anthropology accessible and relevant today.

Why is it important?
The question of who we, human beings, are, and who we are becoming or can become are especially importent in times of deep changes. Theological grounding of this long search for human identity, relations, and dynamics of transformation can be helpful both to a spiritual search and to a multidisciplinary debate.
Perspectives
Writing especially the part on the 20th century development of the theological anthropological themes made me grateful for the honesty and the bravery of many theologians facing opposition. Thank you for the inspiration!
