What is it about?

The article explains how poetry reveals the widely accepted mechanism of creating a hierarchical relationship between children and animals. This mechanism is often reinforced in poems intended for children but unmasked in poetry supposedly intended for adults. I illustrate the phenomenon in question using poems by Jacek Podsiadło and Dariusz Suska.
